There are a lot of factors that can change the way your candle burns; so here are a
few tricks to get the best burn time and life out of your candle. No one likes a
candle that finishes and wax is remained all around the sides. It is a waste of wax,
and you don't get the best out of your candle!
Your 200gram candle’s burn time is up to 35 hours, these burn times are
approximate.

MOST IMPORTANT BURN.
FIRST BURN - Make time for your first burn, this is
important. Wax has a memory; it follows the lead of the last burn. If you blow it
out too early, it will remember and burn to the same point each time. We
recommend 3 hours for your first burn so the wax melts to the edges of the pot.
Key Factors
-
Trimming your wick before each burn- If you do not trim, your flame is much
stronger and powers through the wax much faster. -
Do not leave your candle outside especially during summer. It changes the
consistency of the wax and melts it, changing the way it can burn. -
Keep your candle away from drafts. As with a camp fire, when you add more oxygen
to it, it will burn more powerful; same goes for your candle with drafts. -
Keep your candle away from kids and pets, and always make sure it is on an even
heat proof surface and away from anything that may cause a fire.

Do not leave your candle burning for longer than 4 hours at a time; the longer you
burn your candle for, the more wood is burnt on the wick, causing it to burn
higher and therefore burning through the wax faster. Due to the handmade nature of
your vessel and integrity of your wax, we do not suggest burning for longer than this.
Exceptions
Sometimes your wick is very weak, and you have done all the correct
things, and it is hardly burning. This is a wick problem; due to their wild
tendencies, not all are perfect, but we have no way of knowing this until it is lit. It is uncommon, but it does happen. The wick needs to be changed, and your candle will be fine. Just hop online and message us with a picture, and we will be in touch regarding what to do and how to help.
